Help For Molly & Her Daughters
Molly is 46 years old and has just been diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma.Wellington
Molly is 46 years old and has been diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. She came to New Zealand 17 years ago from Zimbabwe with her 2 daughters. Molly works in the field of Bio Medical Science.
Molly is having chemotherapy but can no longer work right now. Her daughters who live with her, can’t return to work until level 2 of the lockdown, but if they do return to work, there is a risk of passing on viruses to their mum as they both work in early childhood and the hairdressing industry. Molly also needs a lot of assistance at the moment to care for her. The other support systems are not in place yet due to the backlog because of Covid-19.
I am hoping that if they can have some some support financially, then Molly’s daughters can continue to look after their mum while she is having treatment, and they can still pay for their rent and living expenses, without gambling with her health.
They have no family here in NZ at all to help them get through this. Her daughters are in their early 20’s and are as determined to help their mum, as Molly is to beat this!
Please help where you can or even share this, would be hugely appreciated. We all want Molly to be safe and to get better!

I am a friend to both Laura her sister Gabby and their mum Molly.
Use of funds
To assist them to pay for their rent and living costs while Molly is going through chemotherapy treatment and to allow her daughters to care for her without risking Molly’s health more, by keeping a really tight “bubble” around her also.
Hi everyone, I wanted to give you all an update. Molly had been home for a few days but unfortunately she is back in hospital today and will start her second round of chemo tomorrow. This was meant to be starting in a week but shes been told they need to do it now. This round is expected to be especially hard on her!
I had a lovely FaceTime chat to her a couple of nights ago and it was so awesome to see her beautiful face and smile! We had a great catch up and she is feeling really positive!
Laura and Gabby have been doing an amazing job looking after their mum!
Molly, Gabby and Laura wanted me to say a massive thank you to each and every one of you who has kindly given and for the amazing words of encouragement! THANK YOU! i have printed everyone's comments and well wishes and bound it into a book so she can keep this with her, and read through while being reminded that she is not in this alone!
(If you can share this page that would be fantastic!) Thank you so very much again!
