Help improve Andrews quality of life while awaiting a life threatening heart and lung transplant.

Andrew has experienced a life most of us cannot even dream of. He was diagnosed with leukaemia at the age of 16 and has battled serious illness’ of sorts ever since. His leukaemia relapsed at 18 and Andrew had to undergo a bone marrow transplant.

Since then, Andrew has undergone a miriad of complications ranging from chronic lung disease, several collapsed lungs right through to heart failure. And this is just to mention a few.

Along his path, he has tried several different careers with all being halted by health issues. All in all, Andrew has been robbed of his late teens and his 20’s.

Aside from his own health issues, Andrew has always tried to be there for others and help others in their times of of need.

Anyway, it has finally come to a point where Andrew is on permanent oxygen while he awaits a total heart and double lung transplant. This means Andrew is confined to his house or can venture out on short escorted trips while attached to a small oxygen bottles.

Since Andrew is confined to his home 99% of the time, he has taken to making LEGO to kill the time. However, his dream set is $1500 and way out of his reach! For those who know, it’s a limited edition millennium falcon from the Star Wars series and he won’t stop talking about it.

We don’t know how long this process will take and whether or not we can find a donor but, in the meantime, let’s give him something to do!

So please, let’s get him smiling again and bring out his inner child!
