Cancer is a word not a sentence & history is written by survivors, so please help Jay be the author of his!!

On the 20th August 2019 Jaden celebrated his 16th birthday. The world was at his feet and life was good! Today Jaden lay in a hospital bed in the Children’s Haematology Oncology Centre (CHOC) at Christchurch Hospital fighting for his life.
On Thursday the 7th November Jaden was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia, the shock and fear for Jay and his family & friends was unbearable. It is incredible how life can be turned upside down in a Nano second.
Jaden attends St Bede's College where he is a talented cricket & rugby player. Just yesterday while receiving his 2nd lot of Chemo in 3 days, Jaden told his Father how he will coach the younger cricket players this year since he won't be able to play himself. So positive, so powerful!
Jaden's positive outlook and strength to re-shape his plans opposed to cancelling them will help him smash this nasty disease out of the park and pick up where he left off, living his best life!! But before then Jaden needs your help to get him through his aggressive chemotherapy treatment & ongoing blood transfusions.
The next 2 years are going to be intense for Jay and we can't thank you enough for your support in helping him not have to do this alone!
Jaden is a treasured son, adored brother and incredible friend to my son Bae and so many others.
All funds will go towards additional medical expenses and support for Jay and his family.
Jay's Journey Update 13 December 2019
Jay had surgery today where he had his bone marrow tested, his pick line in his arm removed and a port-a-cath put in his chest. This port-a-cath is a catheter for Jaden to receive intravenous fluids, blood transfusions & chemotherapy. You sure are an incredible young man Jay, who had a big day today!!!
From Monday Jaden will receive daily chemotherapy treatments, including Christmas day. Jay’s upcoming chemo cycle is 5 days on, 2 days off for 5 weeks, he will then have a 2 week break before repeating this course of treatment.
So as we move around our family & friends this Christmas day lets raise a glass to Jaden and send him all our love & prayers!
Jay and his family want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Year and once again a massive thank you to you all for your love and support!
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
