Help us give Kaya, our much-loved cat, a fighting chance against cancer. ❤️🐾

Kaya, chota mooh/cute face, is our beloved 9-year-old cat and a much-loved member of our family.

Earlier this year, Kaya began losing weight and suffering from ongoing vomiting. After multiple vet visits, scans, surgery, specialist consultations and a biopsy, she was diagnosed with high-grade gastric lymphoma (stomach cancer).

While her diagnosis is serious, we have chosen to give Kaya the best chance possible while maintaining her quality of life. She has now started a 6-month chemotherapy treatment plan, which offers hope of remission and more precious time with her family.

The costs of surgery, diagnostics, specialist consultations, blood tests, chemotherapy, medications, and ongoing monitoring are significant and continue to grow.

If you are able to contribute, no matter how small, it would help us to provide Kaya with the treatment and care she needs. If you're unable to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much.

Funds will help cover Kaya's chemotherapy, blood tests, medications, specialist consultations and ongoing cancer care. If we don't reach our target, every dollar raised will still go directly towards her treatment and quality of life. ❤️🐾

Kaya Update - 02 September 2026 2 September 2026

Hi everyone, thank you all for your generous donations, sharing this page, and your messages of love & support. Kaya is now on week 4 of her treatment, a small step in her 6-month treatment journey. We would like to share some positive news: Kaya's energy levels and mood have improved since starting treatment - she's vomiting much less than she used to, and she's been playing and resting comfortably each day.

A challenge that has appeared is that Kaya has also been confirmed to be anaemic, with the recommendation that she should be given supplements to support her red blood cell count. This requires ongoing blood testing (to ensure the treatment isn't having a further negative impact on her condition) and purchasing supplements with costly shipping fees.

Regardless, we've acted on this immediately and will continue to support Kaya to ensure she remains comfortable and loved as she progresses through her treatment and its challenges. Again, we sincerely appreciate everyone's continued kindness, and we hope to share more positive updates in the coming weeks.
