As we step into 2025 with hopes and dreams of continuing to provide support for our community, we find ourselves facing a difficult reality. The need for food in Ōtautahi Christchurch is growing every day, and the financial cost of running our services is growing too. In addition to this, we're feeling the pinch from reduced funding. We are now faced with a worrying prospect: we will simply be unable to operate some of our services without further support.
That’s why we’re turning to you. We’ve launched a Give-A-Little campaign to raise $70,000 in 7 days to enable us to continue rescuing and supplying food to our community groups, food banks and to those in our city who depend on us.
This isn’t simply about numbers or budgets; this is about supporting the people we serve every day—the families, individuals and children who rely on our help to get through tough times.
Every day, we see the power of community in action - now we’re asking for your help to continue this vital work. Your contribution, no matter the amount, will directly impact our ability to keep food on the tables of those who need it most. Can you help us keep Kairos Food Rescue active?
