Help Leona Fight Stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma

Just before Christmas Leona was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma - a stage 4 cancer and the most aggressive kind. This has been a devastating diagnosis for Leona and her family.

The cancer has unfortunately spread beyond the regional lymph nodes to more distant areas of the body - but there is hope.

Medical breakthroughs are helping patients to live longer with this type of cancer and Leona's Oncologist has recommended an unfunded drug in her Immunotherapy treatment to double the chances of these tumors shrinking.

The treatment comes at a huge cost of $82,000 plus the additional costs of a specialized radiation treatment estimated to cost $26,000, and possibility of the need for home carers as Leona currently lives with her elderly parents.
