Please help our furbaby / fur-brother Louis have the opportunity to get his future back.
Hobsonville, Auckland
Hi, my name is Duncan. I'm Louis' (Loo-wee) hooman papa.
To the devastation of his immediate and extended family, our beautiful, energetic boy Louis was hit by a car recently. We are incredibly grateful that he is still with us, and know how terrifyingly close we came to this awful situation being even worse.
Louis was rushed to the emergency vet, and underwent immediate operation, as well as x-rays to understand the full extent of the damage. Upsettingly, the specialist diagnosis was surgery is required for Louis to ever have proper use of his leg again. That this is a potential reality is incredibly painful. Up until now he has been the picture of good health, and poster-child for the joy of being a dog and delight they bring their people.
The cost of treatment thus far has been crippling. Not long before this disaster I was made redundant, so while raising Louis with his toddler hooman-brother in these costly times is already challenging, this additional financial burden is truly overwhelming.
We're here humbly asking for your help by contributing any amount you can spare towards the surgery Louis needs to get his life back. The starting goal of the fundraiser is around only half of the medical costs, but by helping us reach towards it you are giving to a future for Louis with his family.
Our sincere thanks and appreciation for your time and all donations.
Gratefully yours,
Louis & Family
A snapshot of what we're fighting for:
I'm Louis' dad, asking for support together with his mum and our other wee boy, Louis' little brother Noah.
After being hit by a car, Louis needs costly surgery if he is to regain use of his leg. Any contribution towards making that possible therefore has the potential to be life-changing, for Louis and his family who cherish him.
