Help make our home dry and healthy

We purchased our first home in 2019 and we were so excited after all we had worked so hard to get to this point!

Then it snowed and rained. And the start of our problems occurred.

It turns out that we bought a home that, from what builders have said, has EQC damage that hasn't been repaired and now has the prolonged effect of being like this for years that it is no longer watertight.

Every time it rains our house is raining on the inside. Our 7 month olds window pours, we have windows rotting, a ceiling that's sagging in multiple places, rot, walls that need to be replaced from moisture. The roof and ceiling needs to be replaced.

We are at a point where we don't know what to do. It would be at least 5 more years for us to be financially able to add this to our mortgage and I can't put my family through this house for one more winter. We have already been in hospital once with our 7 month old due to sickness that we feel our home isn't helping. I don't want to keep putting my childrens health at risk during another winter of having a wet home.

We're hoping to raise some funds to at least pay for some reports we need to help our case against EQC or if by miracle we raise enough to have a new roof put on our family home.

We've been going back and forth against EQC as firstly they accepted responsibility for most of the issues with the property but now they've decided to be really difficult and we've had to lawyer up against them. We're not sure if they will ever accept our claim but if they do all funds raised from this we will donate back to our local community trust center as they have helped so many families, ours included over this hard time.

I try my hardest to give back to the community when I can with my business and take a part of fundraising, donate my services and advertise for what I can to help others but Its been hard accepting that we need to ask for help. I'm hopeful this will help our family at a time when we are so in need.
