Help me get through Medical School

Hi Everyone!

My name is Sophia Dean and I am a medical student at the University of Otago. I am a medical student that has been affected by the EFT cap placed on students since 2010 whereby students in long term degrees are only allowed a student loan for a short amount of time.

Prior entering Medicine I completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences as well as completed the majority of papers in a Bachelor of Science majoring in Physiology at the University of Auckland.

I have always had a passion for helping people which is one of the reasons I pursued Medicine. Unfortunately, the cap currently placed on student loans means that I will not be able to finish my medical degree which I worked so hard for all these years. For this reason, I am relying on the generosity of the public to join me on this journey and help me become a fully qualified Doctor.

I am trying my best at the moment to work through the holidays and save up to pay for medical school, however the annual fees are overwhelming and now that I wont be eligible for extra assistance (Student loan) I simply cannot afford the $15,802.28 per year.
