HELP MY HUSBAND FIGHT CANCER

Hi, my name is Louisa and I am doing this page on behalf of my husband. We have been married for 1 year and 8 months and have been blessed with our beautiful daughter.

Saiah recently had 2 operations on his brain, they found a large cyst in his brain that caused him to have seizures, he could not even remember his birth date. The test results, showed the fluid from the cysts came from some where else in his body. After having a full body MRI scan on his body, they found cancer on his left lung which spread to his brain causing the cyst to grow.

On the day of the lock down, we had to have 5 days radiation on his brain in Palmerton North, to help shrink the cyst and kill any cancer cells in his brain. Unfortunately, this is not the best treatment for him. Speaking with our Oncologist, we needed to start on a chemo pill called Alectinib that would target both the brain and the lung and need to start this as soon as possible.

Due to my husband being on a working visa, he needed to be in New Zealand for 2 years. Unfortunately, he is one day out of being here for 2 years, which means Saiah is not eligible for the publicly funded drug and we need to pay for this ourselves. THIS REALLY IS HARD FOR OUR FAMILY AT THIS MOMENT.

Saiah is 38 years old, with a loving and supportive family, but he needs this drug for the best outcome. With this chemo pill it will extend more time for him to be with his family and I.

Due to my husband's condition, neither of us were able to work. To reduce the financial stress during this terrible time we are asking for your help.

The amount we are needing to cover 6 months of this chemo pill called Alectinib is $17,940.
