Help Natasha, who has been selected, to represent NZ at the ISA World Junior Surfing Champs in California in October.
Taranaki
Hi my name is Natasha Gouldsbury. I'm 14 years old and I live in New Plymouth. I'm a fun and energetic Grom and I'm currently NZ's U16 Girls National Champion.
I've recently been given the amazing opportunity to represent NZ and am super stoked to travel to Huntington Beach, California where I will compete in the U16 Girls division at the ISA World Junior Surfing Champs in October.
I grew up in Levin and started surfing when I was 9 years old. Although the local beaches weren't really known as great surf breaks, from the moment I got my first wave I fell in love with surfing and the water is now my second home. In December 2017, my family moved to New Plymouth to support me in achieving my surfing and educational goals and the support that I've received since moving to Taranaki has been amazing.
In the months leading up to the trip to California I will be practicing every opportunity I get, as well as competing twice in Raglan; at the NZ Schools Surf Champs and also the Scholastics where I will be representing Taranaki in the U16 Girls division.
I would be incredibly grateful for any support you might be able to give towards helping me achieve this goal. No donation is too small and the funds raised will go towards travel, accommodation, entry fees, uniform and other costs associated with the trip to represent NZ.
If my goal is exceeded any additional funds will go towards new equipment and additional coaching opportunities.
I am Corinne, Natasha's mum and I'm helping her to raise the funds needed to represent NZ at the ISA world junior surfing champs in California at the end of October
