It’s time to put our money where our mouth is and support one of our deserving I am Eva wahine who has been involved in a car accident.
Auckland
You may recognise Raewyn as one of our beautiful I am Eva wahine.
Well, raewyn is soo much more than just one of our models who selflessly devoted their time and bodies in order to support our cause. She is an incredible mother and friend and she needs our aroha and support right now.
Last week (on International Women's Day) Raewyn was involved in a car accident and as a consequence her car was written off. Thank fully, none of raewyn's four children were in the car but Raewyn was rushed to hospital and is now recovering at home.
Why do we want to help Raewyn?
Our Rae Rae has gone through numerous struggles in the past few years (that being the understatement of the decade) but she continues to inspire us despite it all. She is the most dedicated and loving single mother we have ever met to her four beautiful children and will drop everything to be there for you when you need a friend. As an example, the day before her accident, I had mentioned to her that I was having a low day so she found a babysitter for her children and brought over wine and cheese and let me cry it out till almost midnight because that’s the kind of self less mana wahine that she is. everybody needs a friend like RaeRae!
She is studying te reo māori full time so does not currently work but has been working very hard on developing a new business all whilst raising her four babies all on her own. Raewyn relies heavily on having a car to transport her children to the school they go to which has no current public transport route from her home and to get to her own school.
The fact that this accident happened on International Women’s Day, we believe is a sign that we need to start putting our money where our mouth is and lift up our fellow wahine when times are tough and not turn our back especially on such incredibly hard working loving beautiful women.
If everyone that reads this can donate just $5 (being the cost of a cup of coffee) then we can get Raewyns kids to school, Our Rae Rae back at school and her independence back as soon as possible.
I am a friend of Raewyn's and she is an incredible person who needs our support
The funds will be used to purchase Raewyn a new waka so that she can get her babies and herself to school.
