Taranaki
THANKS TO ALL YOU AMAZING PEOPLE PETE IS STARTING TREATMENT IN APRIL! THERE'S A HIGH CHANCE OF HIM NEEDING FURTHER TREATMENTS SO WE WILL KEEP THE PAGE OPEN, PLEASE KEEP CHECKING IN FOR UPDATES.
STICKERS ARE FOR SALE AT COOKS HONDA AND THE HACK TRACK, DETAILS IN THE UPDATES TAB.
Pete was diagnosed with throat & liver cancer in November last year, he has done a round of chemo through the public health system but the cancer hasn’t responded as well as expected. The first round of chemo did help but nowhere as much as they thought it would so they are trying new chemo drugs.
He needs Herceptin which is a drug to aid the success rate of chemo and it costs $3860 per treatment every three weeks. He ideally needs 5-6 treatments to get an idea of how well it is working and there is a high chance he'll need up to 10 doses, we can do this!
It isn’t funded for him and at $3860 each treatment we need to help him out. There is a really good % that the herceptin could knock the cancer back so is definitely worth doing.
THANK YOU EVERYONE YOU ARE ALL AMAZING! PETE IS BLOWN AWAY AT ALL THE SUPPORT!
Pete is a top bloke and needs us all to help him beat this bloody cancer. He would be the first one helping anyone else, time to repay his friendship, come on guys let’s get behind Petesy on this!
The money will be spent on Herceptin treatments and any further health needs Pete requires along the journey.
