Help Sarah Battle rare blood condition

When our beautiful friend Sarah was pregnant with her son Max she suffered from a terrible and life threatening medical condition called Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP)

This condition is a rare disorder that affects your blood’s tendency to clot. In this disease, tiny clots form throughout your body. These tiny clots have major consequences.

The tiny clots can block blood vessels. This stops your blood from being able to reach your organs. This can compromise the functioning of your vital organs, such as your heart, brain, and kidneys.

At this time, the medical professionals decided it was in the best interest of both Sarah and her unborn baby to deliver baby early at 32 weeks. This journey was a very difficult one, and by the grace of God we were so fortunate to have them both make a full recovery.

Unfortunately the same scary symptoms of this terrible condition presented themselves again and our beautiful friend has been admitted to hospital fighting to regain her health once again. Sadly for us she is undertaking treatment in the Gold Coast where she currently resides, restricting us from being able to support her the way we could when she lived in New Zealand. With Christmas almost upon us, we as her best friends know how heart wrenching this is for Sarah, Jason and their three boys. Anyone that knows Sarah will understand when we say that she truly is a one in a million kind of person. Just as rare as this awful condition which effects only 3-4 people out of a million.

With Sarah in hospital undertaking treatment, Jason is left to care for their children, which means time off work for him. We can only imagine the adversity they are facing and therefore are pledging for any support, no matter how big or small that you could please manage. Please help us to support our beautiful friend to get through this difficult time and help ease the burden they face, both emotionally and financially. Any support you can offer will make a huge difference in enabling our special friend to regain her health during this uncertain journey.
