The Bibi Family is in desperate need of help. Major roof repairs needed to stop rain saturating their home. They sleep curled on small rug.

The Bibi Family (consisting of mum -Janifa and two daughters aged 6 and 17) are living in Suva, Fiji. The family is forced to curl up on a tiny rug on the floor any time it rains, due to holes everywhere in their roof of their one bedroom house. The roof is not secure, and riddled with holes. The rain streams in everywhere, making bedding and floors sodden. Mum (Janifa) sews to earn a living, but everytime it rains, due to fear of electrocution, she has to turn of the power to the sewing machine. Stopping any income. The little food they have gets sold to earn more money, leaving the three of them malnourished. Last year out of desperation a radio station offered aide. The video link (which is a MUST watch) is below and shows how desperate life is for the family. The outcome of the aide, was school uniforms and supplies for the children. However, as you will see, their schooling suffers greatly from the disrepair of the house (mainly roof). Please dig deep in your hearts for this family.

The Hunter Family, Whanganui.
We sponsor the Bibi family. It started so our 6 yo child could have a penpal and to teach her about empathy for others. But as the story unfolded we realised that the family needed more than a little help -they need a lot of help. Please give what you can.
Water tightness of roof. Front and back of house repairs. Floor repairs. Safe electrical wiring.
