ARC Bird and Reptile Ban.

Now is the time to dig deep into our pockets and support the PSNZ in overturning the Auckland Regional Council (ARC) Pest Management Plan to stop us from breeding, moving or selling Galahs, Sulphur Crested Cockatoos, Ringnecks, Quakers, Rainbow Lorikeets and Eastern Rosellas plus several reptile species.

The ARC passed this law without consulting breeders, pet owners or pet shops. They should at least have informed the PSNZ of their intentions as we have been a registered society in New Zealand for 30 years and have the expertise to advise on these matters.

We now have no option but to fight this in court and have it overturned.

The ARC has taken away our freedom of choice!

The PSNZ has engaged one of Auckland's top lawyers to represent us.

The ARC wants to make Auckland pest free by 2050. But what about the rest of NZ? It will be your turn next. So please help us get this ruling overturned.

If you want to know more we have a link to the Auckland Regional Council Pest Management Plan on the Parrot Society of NZ website at

Please help us 🙏🙏and please share.

Use of funds

To pay for a top lawyer to take the Auckland council on and over turn their decision.

We would donate balance of money to Kakapo project.
