Help Sonny On His Transplant Journey

My brother in law Sonny has had chronic lung disease his whole life, that's 32 years of pretty much breathing through a straw. About a year ago he had gained a lot of weight, we just thought it was normal weight gain until he met with a different doctor during a normal GP Visit who looked at his legs and sent them straight to the hospital, he was admitted and was told the right side of his heart was failing and he has severe hypertension. He was sent back and forth to Dunedin Hospital for multiple tests to confirm heart failure. In November 2018 he ended up in ICU and that when Auckland got onboard and the talk about transplant was on the table. On the 26th of Novemeber Sonny went in and had his double lung transplant, but the journey has just begun. Sonny has a wife and a 2 year old daughter, they have had to temporarily relocate to Auckland from Invercargill while he recovers, this has meant his wife (my sister) has had to give up her job for atleast 3 months. She doesnt have any annual leave or sick leave as she used it all over the 2 years while Sonny was in and out of hospital and up and down the country for appointments and they need all the help they can get. If there is anyone that deserves it, it's this family right here. They always go above and beyond to help anyone they can with what they have and I know this will mean the world to them all.
