Lisa and her husband Simon are now on one income and need our support after their 6 year old daughter Ever-May was diagnosed with Leukaemia
Auckland
You never think it will happen to your child until it does. Unfortunately this reality is what Lisa and Simon now face after their daughter, Ever-May (Ever) was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia only 4 days after her 6th birthday. Together with their son Mason, 8 years old, the Fraser family now face a huge change in their life as they support Ever through this illness and the two years of treatment required ahead of them. Part of this change has meant Lisa has had to give up her job to be able to get Ever to weekly chemo and monitor and manage her daily routine of meds that are now required. Changes and equipment have been required in their home as well to give Ever the best support and comfort, particularly now that her immunity suffers from low white blood cell counts and in part a result of the treatment required to fight this awful illness. Having a sick child is stressful enough without adding the financial stress that comes with returning to a one income household. This give-a-little page is to help relieve some of the burden they face.
My cousin Lisa is like my sister. I love her fiercely and have become even more fierce in supporting her whenever I can since the loss of her mother and first born child. Lisa is an amazing person but over her life has suffered incredible grief. She is so strong and kind yet this year she faces another blow after her daughter Ever-May was diagnosed with Leukaemia. Having a sick child is enough to carry without the added stress of the financial impact it will have.
The funds from this give-a-little page will supplement the family now on one income and fund requirements for Ever-May throughout her treatment of Leukaemia
