Please help the Mango Bay Fiji staff survive Covid-19

$3,060 of $10,000 goal
Given by 27 generous donors in around 6 months

For all of our past guests, family and friends of the Mango Bay staff who are struggling and you can help this appeal with your support.

International

For all of our past guests, family and friends who have experienced the warmth and hospitality of the Mango Bay staff, this is a appeal for your support.

The Mango Bay staff have welcomed guests and friends from all over the world into their lives and livelihoods. Their place of work and your favourite Fijian destination for a holiday and a break, has for years been a recluse from the hustle and bustle of home, usually welcomed by a warm smile and a very large loud "Bula". After struggling for 14 months now with the resort been forced to close due to international border closures and local lockdowns. Many staff are on leave without pay indefinitely with no means of income. Resilience only stretches so far and these families are struggling to put food on the table and pay their modest bills.

It is a crisis that is unplanned, unknown and unpredictable for their future, that surpasses the natural disasters and cyclones, of which we have also had 3 come through in these 14 months alone.

Natural Disasters are a norm for the Islands, with past Mango guests, both Kiwi's and Aussies always providing generous donations enabling us to deliver essential food, medicine and supplies to hundreds of vulnerable villagers throughout Fiji.

This pandemic impacted all of our lives on a never-before-seen level, and many of us are struggling ourselves, but many of us also live in developed countries. Countries fortunate to be providing government assistance, funding and fallback with access to accommodation, healthcare, clean water and food on a regular basis.

If every past guest that has been touched by the welcome of the Mango staff donates a few dollars we could provide the essentials for the 34 Mango staff and their families to survive for months. Any amount you can donate, no matter how small, will make a profound difference to the lives of these very special people.

All funds raised will be distributed evenly, but we are also offering an incentive from the company side of Mango Bay. All donations, no matter how small or large, will also receive a resort credit of 25% of your donation total towards your next future booking, to be spent how you wish.

That is 25% off a cold Fiji Gold, a massage, or your direct accommodation booking. Whatever you wish it to be? 100% of your donation however will still be used to evenly assist our staff and their families during this time.

Most importantly though you are assisting with the families of our staff to continue to live and support their families until you return, hopefully soon, for your next visit to Fiji and your extended Mango Bay Family.

We will be updating this page, and our Facebook page, frequently so all donators will be able to watch and see with transparency directly who they are helping and how.

A very big Vinaka Vakalevu and appreciation for you all.

Use of funds
