Mede has been home over a week now and is bouncing back so quickly. We’re waiting on blood test results to confirm haemophilia so will be good to know for sure. He’s eating well, playing and being as cheeky and naughty as ever
On Monday arvo I got to bring Mede home. He’s really good in himself. Alert, happy, eating and drinking well and coping with being crated for most of the day. It’s our 4th night home tonight and I’m letting him move around a bit more but watching he doesn’t get too rough with his doggy sister Meg.
Medes still swollen over his scrotum but it is coming down. Tomorrow we have another check up at vet. Will let you know how we get on.
This afternoon I got to bring my baby home! He’s looking incredible all things considered. He’s still incredibly swollen but he’s ok. We’re back on Friday to the vets for a check up and I truly cannot thank Eltham vets enough.

On Friday morning the vets rang to update me. Mede had started to eat & drink and is stable.
The issue is the swelling in his scrotum now and getting that down.
We agreed it was best for me to not visit as he needs to remain quiet and as still as possible to heal and the last thing we want is for stitches to pull.
The vets have confirmed he’s haemophiliac- something we did not know and wouldn’t have known till surgery and this has been the issue for the massive bleeding.
He’s in the best place, but boy I miss him so much. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated.
