Kiwi Boxer Troy Garton's second chance for Gold.
Auckland
4 years ago Kiwi Boxer Troy Garton's dream of representing her country came true when she was selected to compete at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, in Gold Coast Australia. She went on to win a Bronze Medal despite competing with a knee injury (a torn ACL) which she ruptured the day before the games started.
Troy has just been named to compete again at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games in the United Kingdom; starting on 29th July 2022. She is looking forward to flying the New Zealand flag with pride at the games and stepping into the boxing ring fully fit this time.
Troy is not a funded athlete, and has had to pay for everything herself along the way to get where she is. Getting to this point has required a lot of sacrifices, injuries, and headache — literally blood, sweat & tears.
With little over 5 weeks till go time, she needs your help getting there. Whatever you can do to help her achieve her goal of winning a gold medal for NZ will definitely not go unappreciated.
Training gear, living costs, travel costs and food.

Hi everyone,
Just a quick message to say a HUGE thank you for your donations. I feel very blessed to have such generous people in my life!
My commonwealth journey is about to kick off. We are sitting at the airport waiting for our 19hr flight to Dubai where we then fly to Birmingham and then on to Belfast for a 2 week training camp. We are back to Birmingham on the 23rd July ready to start competition on 29th July. Exciting times ahead! And you have all helped to get me there!
Much Love
Troy
