Please help us get our miracle baby!

There are lots of lucky people in the world who are blessed with a baby or the possibility of conceiving naturally to create a family - unfortunately we are not one of the lucky ones, we are part of the ones who have to go through the heartache, struggle and cost just to create their miracle baby that they desperately long for.

We have been on our fertility journey for a while now but have been trying to conceive for a year prior. With a heavy heart, we have now hit a wall in achieving our dream of adding to our family. We have a wee boy of 5years old who has been asking for a wee brother or sister, which we'd love to give him. After a long road trying to have a baby with no luck, we started to seek help on our journey.

After seeing the fertility specialists and being told we cannot conceive naturally, IVF was the only way or otherwise, finding a donor.

Unfortunately, that’s where our journey halted. Days before getting our appointment to get everything started, I ended up in HDU in hospital after a brain aneurysm which meant everything came to a standstill.

The last 6 months have been horrible, having to deal with the side effects, stress, heartbreak and financially challenging, trying to get on with life as normal. This impacted my ability to work which meant we have had to use half of our IVF money to support us. I am finally on the mend and about to get treatment but financially its going to be a long road ahead and a struggle.

We are not quitters and are not ready to give up on getting our family. No matter what is thrown at us, we will create this beautiful baby. My mother’s dream is to have a grandchild, unfortunately she has extremely bad health from numerous treatments after cancer and we would LOVE to be able to make this happen for her and our wee one.

With a long public waiting list, and the anticipation that my Mum's time may be short, we are hoping for a helping hand to replace the money that we had in our IVF fund - money that we had to divert to covering medical expenses and time off work during my aneurysm.

We are amazing people with such big hearts, we've worked so hard to get to this point and now have it taken away, we just want to love and spoil our miracle and give our boy a sibling he can grow with and love.
