Feral Nation is a non-profit foster-based cat rescue with HQ in Roseneath, Wellington. We take in abandoned, unwanted, sick, and injured kittens and cats. Where possible we take in unhandleable kitties, the "feral" ones - the reason Feral Nation was started.

This kitten season has been particularly hard - so many more very sick kittens, so many more deaths than normal. At this end of the season is when the very very sick come in - as their mama's have had litter after litter and their bodies just aren't strong enough to nurture healthy babies.

Once lockdown is over, we will be open to taking in more kittens and we expect to be inundated with so many cases that need multiple vet visits. These costs add up greatly and although our wonderful vets do give us a discount, vet bills are our biggest expense and are often eye-watering...!
