Help Waiheke Resources Trust purchase an Oven to continue to allow them to feed 80 - 100 people per week.

The Waiheke Resources Trust is on a mission to reduce food waste on the island. Currently they feed 80 to 100 people a week out of the Conscious Kai cafe. Along with this they also teach people how to cook and reduce food waste in the community.
The Conscious Kai cafe have partnered up with nine amazing businesses: Franco’s la Panciteria, Hot Shot Cafe, Foursquare, Countdown, Sophia’s Gourmet Food, The Organic Shop, Fenice Restaurant, The Budgeting Service and Gulf Foods that chose to donate their less desirable food to their FREE community cafe. We host a free lunch every Friday from 11 AM-3 PM. Anyone and everyone is invited to help us cook up a feast. Our dedicated ‘no-waste’ chef, Kathy Voyles, teaches new recipes and guides people in their cooking.
To continue this amazing service a new oven will help hugely to their amazing work in the community and allow them to increase capacity.

We are raising funds for the Waiheke Resources Trust to enable them to purchase a new commercial oven. This will enable them to continue to feed 80-100 people with food prior to it expire and reduce the food waste on the island
Use of funds
The funds raised here will be going towards purchasing a new oven to allow the Trust to continue to provide this service for the community. Should the target be exceeded to purchase an oven the trust also has other community environmental projects.
