Help wounded Ukrainians to live their lives.

$16,460 of $20,000 goal
Given by 160 generous donors in one year

We are seeking your assistance to send hundreds of mobility chairs for disabled people to Ukraine.

Nationwide

The war in Ukraine has raged on for over a year and a half, leaving cities and towns in ruins. Residential buildings, schools, and hospitals continue to be shelled, resulting in the loss of civilian and military lives every minute. Ukraine has become the most mined country in the world. It might take up to 70 years to completely clear the Ukrainian land of anti-tank and anti-personnel landmines. Thousands of Ukrainians have lost their limbs, leaving them unable to walk, and they require assistance to lead their lives. Due to the sheer number of people in need, there is a severe shortage of medical equipment.

In this critical situation, UANZ is reaching out to you for help. We are proud to announce that this will be the third container organized by united forces of UANZ organisations from both North and South Islands. We aim to send vital medical equipment, including hundreds of mobility chairs generously donated to us, to Ukraine. Your donation will cover the shipping costs to transport these life-changing mobility chairs from New Zealand to Ukraine, and other logistic expenses.

On the ground in Ukraine, a dedicated and trusted group of volunteers will ensure these mobility chairs reach the people who urgently require them. Your support can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by this ongoing crisis.

Use of funds

The donations will be spent on cost of delivery the container(s) from New Zealand to Ukraine. The project promises to be ongoing. It means there may be more containers than one.

Container #6

Dear friends

It is only thanks to your efforts and generosity five previous containers with hospital equipment, wheelchairs, thermal underwear, clothing, children toys reached people in Ukraine and have been distributed by our partners among hospitals and the neediest Ukrainians. The most brutal war in Ukraine keeps turning its deadly wheels, killing, injuring, leaving people of all ages without place to live, food, possession. They must rely on someone like you and me to help them survive one more winter, and God knows how many winters and summers it may take.

So now the united Ukrainian communities of New Zealand are preparing the sixth container to be sent to Ukraine, and we need your help again. Wheelchairs, other medical equipment, thermal underwear, children’s toys are being dispatched by volunteers in their own cars, trucks and trailers to our Auckland facility, provided to us for free by a local business. But we (again) need money to pay for shipping the container to a European port and from there transport the load to a hub in Odesa.

So please, go to our Givealittle page and contribute as much as you can to the very human cause. Your assistance is greatly appreciated as it will save lives and give hope.
