Whakatane & Edgecumbe Flood Fundraiser 2017

$7,101 donated
Given by 40 generous donors in 4 weeks

Following the ‘one in 500-year event' flooding in and around the Bay of Plenty, we are setting this page up to support our local community.

Bay of Plenty

River levels across the region have been at record levels with a state of emergency being declared in Edgecumbe and Whakatane after river banks were breached.

With the decision to cancel our 12th Annual Surtees Fishing Competition we have had strong demand from our customers to be able to donate to local communities affected by the flooding. For paid competition entrants ($25 each), Surtees Boats will match any entry fees donated to this page.

The Surtees team would like to offer our sincere condolences to all communities affected by the flooding including employees and their families.

Use of funds

All funds raised will be donated to the Whakatane District Council to help communities effected by the flooding.
