Help to pay the legal fees for the appeal re the decision made by Swimming New Zealand to not select him to go to Rio
International
Kane at the recent FINA Olympic Marathon Swim Qualifier (Portugal) met the qualification standard to compete at 2016 Olympics in Rio. The swimming community in New Zealand and Internationally are reeling in dismay at Swimming New Zealand's selectors decision to not nominate him for selection to the NZOC. Kane has the right to appeal his non-nomination by Swimming New Zealand. Lets get behind this outstanding sportsman and see what we can do to support him financially in his appeal.
I am involved because I have known Kane since he was 5 years old. Since Kane was 12 years old he has focused and trained and committed himself to swimming to represent his country at the Olympics. He meet the qualification standard after years of hard work but Swimming New Zealand have decided not to nominate him to compete. Kane is passionate about swimming and his country and he has trained for years to qualify and live this dream. Kane is a self funded athlete and now he needs financial support to meet the legal fees to appeal the decision made by Swimming New Zealand.
Thank You! 9 July 2016
I would just like to thank you all for your generous caring and giving that has been shown over the past few weeks. Your readiness to help is representation of what good and caring people you are and it means a lot. I am busy training and am hugely positive and excited about going to RIO and racing. This GIVE A LITTLE page has taken some of the financial pressures of both myself and by family with regards to the lawyers bills and has certainly made a difference. Thank you.
