Please help Max,son,brother and friend fight brain cancer.

Maksim, 22 years old. Kind, intelligent, open and friendly guy. Son, Brother and real good Friend . My first baby , gifted to me by God .

He dreams of becoming a bio-chemist and contributing to the discovery of new drugs to treat cancer. He has finished with excellence, his first year of Bio-Chemestry degree in Massey University New Zealand.

Unfortunately, his plans had to go on hold for now.

In January 2016 Maksim was diagnosed with brain cancer. Stage 2 Astrotsitoma cerebellar. Risk of mutation in the future towards Stage 3.

In February 2016 surgeons partially removed the tumour. After that, radiotherapy. Next, four rounds of chemo. All that took a year. Control MRI in July 2017 and a low blow - the tumour is growing, again.

The tumour is in a very remote place and fits tightly to the brainstem. Repeated surgery has been recommended but is very dangerous.

Maksim's case is apparently very rare for New Zealand so there is a shortage of advice and limited treatment options here.

We are not giving up hope of a safer treatment.

Overseas, there are doctors who can perform a procedure using the so-called Gamma knife. And even with open surgery Max has a good chance to do it in Germany where surgeons are more experienced in dealing with that type of brain tumor using technology and different effective methods that for some reason are not available in New Zealand.

We already have time appointment with Neurosurgical clinic Rechts Der Isar in Munich ,Germany.

We can’t getting overseas treatment without your help ….

Our family does all necessary things to find and earn money for Maks’s treatment but it is not enough…
