Roxy is a 6 year old with Multiple Pterygium Syndrome. Help her to become more independent by getting the things that she needs.
Nationwide
All money raised will be to benefit Roxy and any money raised above our immediate need will be placed into a trust account for future expenses. Roxy has Multiple Pterygium Syndrome aka Escobar Sydrome which is a physical disability involving orthopaedic problems and joint contractures. She finds it difficult to walk due to 'bent legs'. She uses a wheelchair and a walker at school. Unfortunately from time to time there are a few expenses that add up. She needs a way to carry books etc around at school on her walker so we are needing to purchase a special basket to attach to walker. Also it would be helpful to have one of these at home as well. Unfortunately they cost $120 each and I as a single mother can not afford to buy them at this stage. Roxy also wears orthotics on her feet/legs and special shoes are required to fit over these. We are able to get a pair of school shoes funded but no others. At a cost of $160 each these are also out of my price range. Roxy would love a pair of shoes for the winter. Would also love to raise money for swimming lessons as Roxy loves the water but needs to become more confident.
