Help Carol beat cancer and tick off the bucket list!

Carol is 58 years old and is a hard working Mother who is used to looking after everybody else.

For 12 years Carol worked as a caregiver to the elderly, earning minimum wage. This has made it difficult for her to put away any savings.

In early May this year she was dealt a devastating blow of being diagnosed with Cervical Cancer which has more recently been moved up to stage 4.

This has been a real shock to her and her family.

Her son, Daniel, and daughter in law, Tina are by her side to offer their support throughout all of the chemo and radiation treatments to help battle this nasty illness.

As Carol has had to reluctantly give up her job this has made the costs involved a little harder to cover.

There are numerous trips to Dunedin and CHCH for treatment, accommodation whilst away and then there's the general cost of mortgage payments and day to day living.

Carol has also been put on a very strict diet including expensive supplements to help with digestion.

Carol and her family are not ones to ever ask for help but in a situation like this it will really help ease some of the stresses associated with this illness.

Due to this illness being moved to Stage 4 it means the treatment is extremely aggressive, therefore, a bucket list has been created.
