Help Elly beat cancer

I have started this Give A Little page as so many lifelong friends of Mum have expressed their wish to donate to help Mum in her journey to beat cancer. The standard chemotherapy methods here in NZ have been unfruitful and Mum is now going to Japan to undergo treatment that have given patients with similar diagnosis positive results. Positive results however big or modest, as long as it's significant, is better than no result.

At the very last minute her insurance company advised that it does not cover this Japan treatment ($27,000) as it is not in line with traditional NZ treatments - which, as far as I've seen involves waiting weeks on end to get a consultation, a lack of medical resources and an attitude of indifference. We've nothing to lose in trying an out of the box method. Whatever it takes to give her a chance of beating this cancer and allow her to be here with us all until she's at least 90.
