Please help me stay in Auckland. My family are moving out of Auckland and I am unable to move into my own place without some help.
Auckland
Thank you for reading my story!
Firstly I'm not one to ask for hand outs but I have run out of any other options.
This is my story; I am 30 years old, I am a caring, giving person; I worked as a nanny for over ten years and really loved it.
Unfortunately I had knee surgery in May 2014 which has left me unable to work as I have severe muscle atrophy, my surgery was unsuccessful and my kneecap still dislocates (managed with a brace). I am unable to walk far, I can't walk up or down hills and with this I have lost my career. I have tried getting other work but as I can't walk far and get very tired i have hit many dead ends.
Since my surgery i have lived at home with my Mum and Stepdad; but they have recently sold their house and are moving out of Auckland which means I am needing to move into my own flat. I am not covered by ACC and only get a small amount on a disability benefit; the problem is that I have a loan of $7000 that I need to pay off in order to live in Auckland.
I got the loan back in 2012, I looked after my Dad for two years who has Alzheimers disease, we were in Australia and I needed support so I had to bring him home. I then continued to look after and support my Dad. He now happily lives in a Resthome; and is doing pretty well considering his diagnosis. I am needing to stay in Auckland to be close to Dad for ongoing support as he has no other family in Auckland.
I am currently trying to manufacture a mobility scooter to help myself and also other people but again I need funding to get this going, I am hoping it will make a difference in other peoples lives as well.
Anything you can donate will help me considerably, thank you so much, it means the world to me.
