Helping Adrian.
Canterbury
Hi everyone!
On behalf of our good friends Adrian and Haidee, we have created this Givealittle page to help raise costs for Adrian’s medical treatment after recently being diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer.
Adrian, aged 30, has been living and working in New Zealand for nearly 4 years now. He has made a life here for himself and has met new friends. He was working here in Christchurch in aged care wherein he met Haidee, who he fell in love with and they got married in August this year. He was diagnosed with Stage 2 Cancer last September 2017 and underwent treatment such as chemotherapy and radiation. He was told he was 99% cancer free prior to getting married.
Just last month, on his follow-up appointment after radiation, he was devastated to have been told that he has Stage 4 Cancer. Diagnostic test revealed that even after radiation, his cancer spread through his lungs. The doctor said he needs urgent treatment as his condition is life threatening. Because of this, it is likely that his work visa application will be declined due to his medical condition.
We are trying to raise funds for his treatment, medical and living costs as due to his visa situation, he is unable to work and is not eligible to access the public health system.A
We need help in raising the funds for Adrian to get the urgent treatment he needs to help fight this disease. Any donation would be appreciated, no amount is too small. Please include them in your prayers. Many thanks, Kyrene and Chrissy.
A good friend and colleague of Adrian and Haidee, his wife.
All raised will go towards Adrian's treatment.
Update with regards to Adrian's status 1 November 2018
Just today, Immigration NZ has declined Adrian's visa application saying that he is at risk of using the public health fund. Furthermore, recent tests revealed that the lumps on his lungs are rapidly growing. Adrian and his wife, Haidee are set to leave New Zealand on the 9th of November. All funds will be used on Adrian's treatment in the Philippines. Thanks for all your help. Keep praying for Adrian's recovery.
