here is someone raising research funds for muscular dystrophy - not just asking but working for it.
Auckland
I am looking for your support
On the 16th of May, this year my son Andrew and I will join hundreds of cyclists on an epic challenge cycling 300km from London to Paris in 24 hours. And yes, its legs not lithium. Day one is London to New Haven, (100km) cross over on the boat and then 200km to Paris.
We are riding for Duchenne UK, an incredible Charity dedicated to find treatments for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy – a devastating muscle wasting disease that affects thousands of children each year.
Every donation, big or small will encourage us and help them.
I am a participant in their charity cycle, London to Paris called the Duchenne Dash raising funds for research into muscular dystrophy
Research for treatment for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I will donate the funds raised on Givealittle to Duchenne UK via the fundraising link https://www.justgiving.com/page/drew-michael-duchenne25
raising funds for kids with muscular dystrophy. 11 March 2025
My ride from London to Paris is 14 of May – raising funds for Muscular Dystrophy. Check out the Duchenne Dash website. I’m doing this with my son Andrew, and I started training on the 5th of November last year. I’m not a regular cyclist but the chance to do something with my son was appealing and of course to raise funds and awareness. Most weeks I am doing about 250 km – I thought I would lose weight but not an ounce. Each rider has to raise $4,000 so thank s for the support so far. (link below) If you can help – every little bit helps. I’ll keep you updated and thank you.

Thanks Steve - I am averaging about 250km a week and feeling fit. The ride is 100km day one and then 200 second day and within 24 hours. Will keep you updated. Michael
