For some people, this is the only thing they have to look forward to each week.

We are spending up to $300 each week and it is no easy feat to keep doing this. Our love for people in dire need keeps us striving to make a difference.

We want to keep operating and don't want to quit at a time when people desperately need help.

*We are a volunteer group and none of our volunteers or organisers are paid.

*We've provided over 37,000 meals, helped people who haven't had a meal in days, operated a pop up shelter during the flooding, advocated for those who need it most.

*We've provided 6 years of service to the community.

*We feed 90 people every single week, often more, and provide essentials like tents, sleeping bags, clothing and essential goods.

*Giving Aroha extends love to our homeless community, families and individuals in need, and those in need of company and care.

*The only organisation in its field available 24/7 in our city.

We won the Nelson civic award for best community group and we've featured on Good Sorts on TV.
