Helping this beautiful young family

Willy has recently got some heart breaking news and it would be fantastic if we can help them out with money for treatments

Canterbury

Willy is 35 years young and out of the blue after a sudden illness what was thought to be an infection has turned to be much worse.

On the 26th of March Willy was diagnosed with stage 4 Bowel cancer, cancer in his Spine and several abnormal lymph nodes.

This has devastated Willy and his Fianceè Amelia and their two young children Rocco 4 and Roman 2.5 years old.

Willy has been given a short life expectancy of between 3 and 12 months, therefore intensive treatment has been started immediately.

He has undergone Radiation Therapy to his spine and will start chemotherapy in the next week for a course of three weeks, this will hopefully help the cancer growth slow down and not spread to any other areas.

There are other treatments available for Willy that are unfunded, and this could potentially give Willy more time with his precious family, they do come at a cost.

Willy is having some tests done to determine which drugs will best help the cancers he has and they range from $3,000 upto $20,000 for a course of treatment. This will be more clear once we have more information.

Willy and Amelia would like to spend as much time together with their children as possible and do some special things together while Willy is still able.

You can give as much as you can or want, we appreciated all this help while Willy and his family get through this very hard time.

Willy and his family would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you for donating to them through this journey of uncertainty.

They are eternally grateful for all the love and support from everyone.

Willy has been doing really well with his chemotherapy treatments. Willy had some MRI and CT scans after his 3rd Round of Chemo and there has been some shrinkage of his tumors and his pain has eased. His quality of life has had a huge turnaround and he has been able to live more normally during his rest week each round of chemotherapy treatment.

He has learnt to manage the side effects from treatment alot better, the tingly feet and hands can be the worst. Keeping warm by the fire has been a good spot for him on the cooler days. The road is still very up and down for Willy and his family but they are making the most of this time they have with Willy and making lots of memories.

Willy has just started his 6th round of Chemotherapy treatment. Willy is due to have a "chemo holiday" of around two months soon. Willy will be due for some CT and MRI scans and test to see how his cancer has been tracking over the last few months since his last scans.

After Willys Chemotherapy holiday he will decide with his oncologist what the next treatment plan is for him.

Again thank you all for your support and kindness to Willy and his family, they feel very lucky to have so many people thinking about them and being there for them at this difficult time.

Thank you xx
