Whanau and Friends,

Our journey began at the start of October when Joe and whanau flew to New Zealand for a chest infection and general check up. Only to sadly discover Joe had been battling a much larger life threatening disease. Joe was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) Cancer, Type 2 Diabetes and Mild Emphysema. After a month of heartbreaking ups and downs fighting through chemotherapy and learning a new diet, the doctors came back with sad news. There was no further treatment that could be done for Joe. We were given a 2-6week time period and sent on our way.

Since been home on The Chatham Islands we have discovered a new natural alternative product Te Kiri Gold made and sold in Taranaki. This has proven to help Joe with his ongoing battles and well-being. As a whanau we would all love and kindly appreciate a little helping hand for this time in need.
