Help us pay for surgical repair of Machiek's clubfoot
Auckland
Hi there,
If you don't already know us, we're Kiwi doctors who have been volunteering in South Sudan for over 3 years now. While most of our energy and resources are invested into helping run a Maternal Child Health program here, sometimes our hearts are stirred for special people in a way that we just can't ignore. One of these special people is Machiek
Machiek was born in a remote village of South Sudan called Warrack with severe bilateral clubfeet. Since there is no access to specialist medical care here, people in South Sudan with bilateral clubfeet usually end up dragging themselves around on the ground in a way that no human should ever have to. And since there's also no social welfare system, just surviving is very tough
Machiek is a delightful 8 year old boy who's mother is a leader in our community health program. We have a dream to see his feet repaired so that he can grow up as a normal child and live a happy, healthy and productive life
Thanks for your generosity!
Jono & Destinee Macleod.
We are sponsoring the repair and were hoping some generous people might be wiling to pitch in and help :-)
