Nuch was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lymphoma last April. Please help her get back home to her family in Thailand for further treatment.
Auckland
Last March, Nuch had not been feeling well at work. She put it down to being run down, and lack of sleep. After visiting the GP with massively swollen glands, she was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with Stage 4 Large B-Cell Lymphoma. She is only 31.
She has been battling through chemo like a trooper over the past year. It has been especially hard, because she has no family here, only her boyfriend who has been working tirelessly 7 days a week in an attempt to support them both and look after some of her medical expenses.
Last week, Nuch went into the hospital preparing for a stem cell transplant but got the bad news the cancer has progressed. The doctors feel like any further treatment would just be palliative.
She has kept such a positive attitude throughout this difficult ordeal and I would love to see her be able to go home and be with her family whom she has not seen in years.
There are other treatment options in Thailand available that are not available here in New Zealand which she wants to try, in a last desperate effort to fight for her life. Doctors are willing to start treatment as early as May but the initial treatment costs the equivalent of $45,000. This cost could escalate depending how many rounds of treatment she needs to beat the cancer. Please help in any way you can.
All funding will be used for these further treatment combos not available in NZ.
I am her friend after working together for 4 years.
