Sam Jones has been selected to represent New Zealand at the World Junior Rowing Champs in Lithuania
I have been fortunate to be selected to represent New Zealand at the World Jnr Rowing Champs held in Lithuania during early ugust of 2017!

I am a Year 13 student and rowed at Westlake Boys for the past 4 years with a dream that came true when I was selected to race for New Zealand at the Junior Rowing World Champs in Lithuania
Use of funds
Sam will move to Cambridge on 28th May and train twice (sometimes 3 times) a day at Rowing NZ and attend school at St. Peters College. He will live at the Rob Waddell Lodge at the beautiful Lake Karapiro for 9 weeks at a cost of $275 per week and then travel to Lithuania on the 24th July for 3 weeks and this will cost $7500. It’s an expensive exercise, but one that we think is worth it. We can cover some of the costs, but we do need some assistance please if you could possibly help out!
