Help the Sacred Heart College (Auckland) 1st XI Football Team get to the 2017 ISF World Schools Championship Football in Prague in May 2017.

Auckland

The Sacred Heart College 1st XI Football team (coached by Danny Hay) was successful in winning the 2016 NZ Secondary Schools National title. Following this, in late September last year, they received an invitation to play in the ISF - WORLD SCHOOLS CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL in Prague, Czech Republic, in May 2017.

This is the first time that a New Zealand team has been asked to play in the tournament and it is a huge honour for our boys and our school.

The team is comprised of boys who are well rounded young Marist Men in-the-making. They are all extremely proud to be given the opportunity to represent not only their school, but New Zealand at the tournament and are one of only 24 teams competing (and the only team from Australasia).

The tournament runs from 21st-29th May 2017.

More details of the teams competing and the tournament can be found on the tournament website: www.isf-football2017.org.

Sacred Heart College's involvement (page creator)

As parents of these talented boys, we are all extremely proud of their achievements to date.

This is a wonderful opportunity for them to showcase their talents and we wish them well on this journey to represent their school and their country at the 2017 ISF World School Championships in Prague, Czech Republic.

About us

Sacred Heart College is a secondary school in Auckland, New Zealand. It is a Catholic, Marist College set on 60 acres of land overlooking the Tamaki Estuary in Glen Innes.

Use of funds

18 players and 4 coaching and support staff will be heading to Prague. The cost of the trip is approximately $5,500/student. This includes flights, accommodation and ISF Championship tournament costs.

The team is fundraising to meet these costs but there is a significant shortfall between funds raised so far and the costs.

Your donation to the team will help the team meet the costs of getting to Prague.
