WELLfed provides free cooking classes for parents based in Porirua East. Participants learn how to plan, shop, safely prepare and cook low-cost healthy meals, with a strong focus on seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables.

Healthy Futures works in Wellington communities to reduce preventable disease in children.
We want to support you to grow kiwi kids with happy healthy futures.
Healthy Futures supports healthy nutrition and activity through our programmes such as Garden to Table, WELLfed and other community health initiatives.
About us
Our vision: A community where children are thriving, free from preventable health issues.
Our mission: to enable eating well and being active through information, advocacy and resources.
Our concern: diet and physical activity-related chronic conditions.
Use of funds
- $10 provides one meal taught and taken home,
- $80 funds a term of teaching and meals taken home
- $320 provides 3 terms of teaching and meals taken home
- $900 will fund whole term for ingredients 10+ students.
WELLfed relies on volunteers to help at classes with childcare and clean up as well as with background tasks such as recipe testing.
