Help us support Hohepa Wellington to support people with disabilities to have a great life! Fundraising for outdoor living.

Hohepa Wellington provides supported living services for people with disabilities. The community has been growing over the last 5 years and now has many residents, with plans for more people to join them. The residents live in houses of 3-5 people in each house, all on one community site.

So much work has been done to date to provide housing, activities, volunteer opportunities and lots of fun for the residents so that they can live a full life and be part of the wider community on the Kapiti Coast. However, this is still so much more to do!

The next phase is to organise the gardens and in preparation for the summer provide areas of shade and outdoor seating so that the community of residents with disabilities and their caregivers can safely spend time outdoors enjoying the hot summer.

We would love your help to achieve our goal. We are fundraising for:

- a community outdoor shade to attach to their community hall so they can have community get togethers and meals - $7,500

- outdoor furniture to use outside their houses and also under the sun shelter $4,000

Please can you help us support Hohepa! Our son started living at Hohepa this year and has grown so much in independence and confidence. His caregivers are amazing people who give so much of their time and energy into giving all our family members the best life possible. They work hard to find opportunities to include them in the Kapiti community and make the place they live their home.
