Lets build it, and they will be safe!!!

We are still pinching ourselves, after years of struggling, saving, ups and downs we have bought 157 acres of potential paradise on the Haywards Hills. Its an old felled forest and yeah its scruffy and the driveway is steep and bumpy. But when you get to the top of the hill..it's magic!! Some may see clay and tree stumps, but we see endless acres of enrichment, love and safety.

We can't thank you enough HUHA Community, this land is actually yours, its community land bought with community donations. Our HUHA Volunteers put in the hard yards and over the past 17 years have forged enough momentum to make this dream to protect animals in NZ a reality. But before we get too carried away we need to be clear. We are only half way there! We (with the help of a mortgage) own the land. But we now need to dig deep and bleed some more...we need to develop and build!

Our Vision is simple, modest buildings, ten 6x8(ish) kitset cabins will be fine, surrounded with enrichment yards, walking tracks and nature. The main key is that the animals are warm, peaceful and safe, so they can heal and work towards fining new homes.

So we need you on board. We need volunteers, services, supplies and eeek we need lots more money

Every dollar add up and makes a difference, there will never be a donation too small. We are also happy to talk branding and sponsorship with businesses and we'd love to show you around so you can see the vision first hand.

We have come so far on this journey together, this is the final hurdle, but boy is the pain and sweat is worth it.....because together we are saving so many lives xx
