I have cancer and I want to go home!

February 10th, 2015 I married my wife, Rianne. She had come from Holland to see me and we hit it off so well that we got married. We love each other so much, in all the time we have been together, we have not had one rip roaring fight, oh, we may disagree but its always sorted out by compromising. She had two husbands before me, both passed away, so the deal I had with her before our wedding was that she had to pass away before me, of natural causes.

Last year, August, I started coughing, it got worse. Thanks to a doctor shortage and a misdiagnosis of pneumonia by a practising nurse, I was rushed to hospital one day in September looking like death warmed up. One of my lungs had completely filled with fluid, so that was on a Friday night. I was told that if I hadn't come in when I did, I would not have been alive by Monday morning.

The fluid they extracted showed cancer cells, a CT scan showed the cancer on my lung. Thanks to the cancer cells, it means the cancer is there for good, in which case the diagnosis was TERMINAL lung cancer. However, after a blood test, they found I was a candidate for Gene Therapy.

They found an "error" in my genes, so this pill should fix that and reduce the cancer. The good news is that the cancer *IS* reducing... the side effects have been horrendous. Its BUYING ME TIME, it may stop working... so, I made a new deal with my wife. 15 more years.

I was born in Holland, and I want Rianne to go home with me so I can die in the land I was born in, a short distance from the town named after our family. I was born in Asten, Noord Brabant in 1960. Its a short distance to Helmond. I not only want to go and die there, but they have two world famous cancer hospitals which I am hoping will give us that extra 15 years, and I want to go NOW while I am still able to... that pill can stop working at any time, or the cancer can mutate. :(
