IAM NOT ALONE

There is no way you can prepare for a tragedy. When it does hit you, there is no accurate way to describe it in words. Such a tragdey has just hit me.

My beloved husband Siddharth Dasson passed away on Tuesday the 27th of July 2021. He had a “subarachnoid haemorrhage” while at work in the BP gas station where he was rostered for the night shift. He has left me with our 9 months old son Zayden. Everyone that knew him personally would only have good memories of him from now on. He was the kindest of souls, heart of gold, a gentle human being, hardworking and diligent man who was taken away from us at the age of just 31. With a young family and big dreams of securing a wonderful future for his son here in New Zealand, he worked as hard as it was possible without getting burnt out, working three jobs, constantly providing everything that he had to offer. He loved, cared and provided for us relentlessly.

And just like that, he is no more. I still have not come to terms with it fully but I keep getting reminded of the fact which I also understand cannot be changed. My whole foundation has been turned upside down, uprooted. I find myself unable to comprehend this truth. And when the cold truth about none of my family members being able to come to my aid due to the lockdown makes me sink even further.

All mine and Sid’s friends are trying thier best to help me navigate through this turmoil and I will be forever grateful for everything they have done but I also understand they can only provide me with so much.

At this time, I would like to make an appeal to everyone that might be in a position to help me and my child in any way they can. Thank you for your consideration.
