Ignition Kids - Aotearoa's latest Children's Book Festival.
Otago
Ignition Kids is a new Children's Book Festival in Dunedin, NZ, brought to you by UBS Otago and Dunedin Public Libraries. Running this year on 2-3 November we're celebrating some stellar Kiwi kids' authors, including Miriama Kamo, Gareth Ward, Pauline Smith plus some talent closer to home: Barbara Else, Ray Huber, Robyn Belton, and Rachel McCoubrey.
We're raising money to pay for authors' travel, accommodation, meals and a little bit of a koha for their contribution. It's a joint initiative by University Book Shop (Otago) Ltd (a registered charity CC20527) and Dunedin Public Libraries. Both of us are not-for-profit and nothing-but-passion when it comes to the benefits of reading and story-telling for kids of all ages, backgrounds and interests.
Ignition Children's Book Festival is part of the University Book Shop (Otago) Ltd, a registered charity. Working with the great people at Dunedin Public Library we're promoting books and reading to Dunedin children and families with lots of exciting activities over three days.
