Interplast repairs bodies and rebuilds lives throughout the Asia Pacific by providing life-changing surgery and training local medical staff
Nationwide
In New Zealand, we often take quality medical care for granted. However, an estimated 143 million people each year go without surgical attention they urgently need. More than 99 million of those cases are in our neighbourhood in the Asia Pacific region.
For many conditions, plastic and reconstructive surgery is the only path to a productive and comfortable life – including opportunities to go to school, find work, provide for family and participate in community life. This surgery has the power to change the future of entire communities, yet for millions of those who need it most, it is simply not available or not affordable.
