Challenging ourselves for our Hero and to help raise money for the Cancer Society
Nationwide
On December 8th 2018, my sisters and I will be competing as a team in the Taupo half Iron Man in memory of the one and only, Bruce 'Mad-Dog' Bowie. Bruce was a doting dad to Alicia, a loving partner to Rachel, an amazing step dad to Chloe and me, and just an all round incredible person.
Bruce lived his life to the fullest, but it was a life that ended far too early in February, after a tough battle with cancer.
Over the next 6 months, Alicia, Chloe and I will be training often to ensure we complete the Taupo half Iron Man in the best time we can. There will undoubtedly be a lot of whinging, sore muscles, and more whinging along the way, but the old Mad-Dog wouldn't have expected anything less.
We are grateful for all donations whether they be big or small. Our main aim is just to make Bruce proud, and to give any donations to a charity very close to our hearts - the New Zealand Cancer Society.
A charity very close to our family, and a lot of our friends.
All donations will be given to the New Zealand Cancer Society
