Help us provide everyone in this country with the information and products they need to manage their periods.
Auckland
We’re here to change the conversation around periods for individuals at home, in schools and in workplaces; change the education individuals receive around cycles and products at all schools and institutions; and change how menstruators access period products in Aoteaora.
The way we approach and engage people with language, imagery and spaces that are open and direct - without the use of fluffy or vague terms - meets a need that doesn’t exist within the period industry and guides our three strategic pillars: Conversation | Education | Access
100% of your donation goes to increasing our reach in communities around Aotearoa.
Your donation helps us to plan, manage and promote events like period markets, where we bring online retailers all to one place so you can feel and experience new types of period products in real life.
Your donation helps us to organise large-scale events like the annual national period hui, where we bring together researchers, government officials, health care professionals, period product makers and individuals who want to make a difference in this space, to share their expert knowledge in-person, and work together on the complex solutions to fight period stigma and provide period products to everyone.
Your donation helps us talk to and embolden the individual who gets in touch wondering what type of period products can be used within their culture, or why their period product isn't working.
There is nobody else in Aotearoa doing what we do. Your donation will help us give everyone in this country the same chance to manage the period, so they can focus on school, work, playing sport, and living life.
The Period Place is the largest menstrual justice charity in Aotearoa, working towards period equity.
We do this through advocacy, outreach, education, promotion and our nationwide period product donation programme.
The Period Place is uniquely suited in Aotearoa to carry out our mahi under our three foundational pillars: conversation, education and access.
Support us to help us eliminate period stigma, provide education, and disposable and reuseable period products nationwide.
Funds will go to the running of The Period Place business (wages not included) - payment for digital services (website and email), covering costs for the free public events we organise, costs associated with amplifying messaging around the country, etc.
